most run the smaller motors to get the weight down. they are at 5.0 lbs per cube, so with a 421 you can weigh 2105.

some teams run the 433 to get the torque up a little bit at the hit, or they can't make 2105, so the run the bigger motor.

The minimum weight for the 07 season with an a-fuel car is 2125 lbs. What Will says is correct. Most cars are in that range unless they have a heavy driver. If that were the case you might want to run a larger engine as long as you don't have to add a lot of weight. Most of us don't like bolting dead weight to the car.
It is not hard getting close to the 2125 even with a steel bellhousing unless you have a heavy driver or extra large fuel tank.
Some of the ex/top fuel cars have a very large fuel tank that takes a half drum of nitro to fill the first time. You will only use about 5.5 to 6 gallons per run. The extra nitro over the amount a normal size tank for an a-fuel car will add close to 10 lbs per gallon. Just food for thought.
