S&W Roush Monte Carlo tafc body avail

    Wow, what does everyone think about this new body, looks good,,,,wonder how much of an improvement or performance advantage?? Any testing yet??? Warren Dauzat

    Are they making it in fiberglass or just carbon fi ?

    Joe at this point it's just in carbon fiber - but we hope to be able to release a fiberglass version soon.

    don , is the picture one of the fuel body or is that the actual alky version?

    Wow, great looking body? Anyone ordered one yet? Even if there's not a great performance advantage, it still looks great!! [​IMG]

    Bruce - The photo shows the plug body we did for Roush. The differences between the alcohol body and it's nitro counterpart are subtle but they are there.
    The front wickers are different to reduce drag. The "hard" edges of the nitro body are smoothed out to reduce drag. And the rear fender behind the wheel opening has been reworked.
    These are just a few of the differences.

    That's Great that someone has done something to help the TAFC guys out. Has this been both NHRA and IHRA approved?

    just exactly when did ihra aprove or disaprove of a f/c body? if it goes up or down it's legal.

    $8,600.00 is the price of the carbon fiber version. A fiberglass version will follow but the price has not yet been determined

    Do you have any aero numbers on the Monte Carlo?
    Has this body been in the wind tunnel?

    Does anybody have any real aero numbers on any of the bodies currently being produced?

    Is it just me? Or does the front window opening look smaller than the nitro version?
