I been told that if you point the nozzles up on both the hat and the ports it will atimize the fuel better...what do you guys think??

A mesh screen under the hat & between the intake manifold and head (Fly screen mesh) seems to work well.
Years back I bought some kinsler shot gun nozzles & noted they had a screen soldered in them.

Your saying that the correct way to install nozzels in the ports is to aim the spray at the valves(the B on the nozzel facing up)
I would have thought that aiming the fuel spray up into the approaching air
stream would have the effect of reducing atomisation because the fuel would have to stop and reverse direction to get to the cylinder and when it stops
it would form bigger droplets but sombody out there must have tried it??

I have seen a few racers over here with nozzles facing upwards, mainly the nitro cars with roots blowers, I would be very interested to hear views on this as to advantages etc.

I do not know about the hat,But I was at David Powers shop over the winter talking with Rob Flynn and he said that he points the down nozziles up toward the valve and he did say it atomizes the fuel better. As far as an Alky motor I do not know.

Surely in the hat it cant make that much of a difference pointing the nozzles upwards? As time it gone through the rotors it must affect the fuel anyway?

Say you was to point the rear two nozzles to the back on the blower at a 45 degree angle, would this work or would the blower simply suck the fuel to where it wants it?
