Don Hudson Racing is pleased to announce that Red Line Oil has signed on as the team's major sponsor for the 2005 season. Beside signing a major sponsor this season, the other noticeable change, is the Top Alcohol race car he will campaign this season. It is not a dragster! It will be a Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car. With the uncertain rules and constant changes in TAD he felt it was the time to make a change. "I am a Funny Car guy anyway, Don stated, I got started in this sport working and being mentored by the Miner Bros., and actually ran Funny Car for two seasons, and was a semi finalist at a national event in the flopper. My passion has always been funny car, and that is where I got my start. While I loved the TAD class the uncertainty made the swicth a no brainer. I jumped at the chance to be surrounded by fiberglass and kevlar again". Red Line Oil has been an associate sponsor since Don started in Top Alcohol Dragster and the team is very excited to have them adorn the side of the Funny Car.

Don's schedule for the 2005 season will include all the Division 7 events selected Division 6 events and the West Coast National events. "My team this year with the TAFC will be the same as we had running the TAD and most of the sponsors have returned as well including Clay Smith Cams, Lenco, Vorn Hagen Body Shop, PJ Vaz and Hudson Collectibles". Jimmy Vasser Chevrolet in Napa California has come on board for this season as have Delta Rubber and Fuel Delivery Systems as associate sponsors.

Hey, Don. That is great, you are coming back to Funny Car.
Is Jimmy Vasser of Jimmy Vasser Chevrolet, the same Jimmy Vasser that was involved with the KOHLER BROS. AA/GS Anglia Panel Truck, in 1970's?

    Hi Jack,
Yes this is the same Jimmy Vasser, Jim Sr. was the one with the Kohler Bros.,I understand they were from the Seattle area, and then relocated to So. Cal., Son Jimmy Vasser Jr. was the Indy Car series points Champ a few years back. These guys are "real racers" and I am very privledged to be associated with their business.

thanks to all for the kind words.
