I just received a call that one of our true friends and racers has also passed away after quite a battle with Cancer.

Couch, (I'm sorry, I think I know his correct name, but not 100% sure, I know him as Couch so feel free to put his name) passed away yesterday. I know that he's helped so many of us, including the Gasparrelli's and Morgan. He always had a smile on his face and ready for a tottie at the end of many long days. I for one will always remember all of the good times we've shared and at least now, his pain is at rest.

We send our thoughts and prayers to his family.

That would be Donnie Couch, Sr.

Truly one of the genuine good guys. I had many many great conversations with him as he single handedly put up awnings, unloaded race cars and everything else it would take two or three of us to do...and he was in his 70's.

Steve Gasparrelli told me how sick he was at Pomona and I couldn't believe it.

    May God bless Donnie Couch.

Donnie was a cool old man. As Randy said, he would just work steady all day and before you knew it he would be all set up and sitting in his chair having a little refreshment. I'll miss BSing with him.

    RIP old friend.

Even though many of us knew this day was coming over the past year, it's still numbing to lose one of the great guys in the sport. Thursdays at the track won't be the same. Rest in Peace.

Condolances from myself, parents, and our team. Don Couch Sr. will be missed and will be remembered as someone who put others needs in front of his own.

Sad, Sad News!! I got to meet "Pops" when he was working with the Lucas Afuel car with Jim Rizzoli. He was always great to us when we were with AO and always had a joke or two to share.
My best Regards to the Couch family.

    truly a "good guy"

I too will miss shooting the bull with couch. He was a nice man and to me epitomized what makes a "good guy". Always willing to lend a hand, always with a story to tell, and a drink to share. god bless to his family, and RIP to couch, no more pain just eternal happiness. Those of us who did were lucky to know him.
