    work on

Maybe we should look at our own own ET,s those of us that have even ran this year so far and try and work on improving them instead of worring about someone else. Don't think any of us have ran close to our potential yet this year have we guys.

Explain Darren. What's A 103% Nitro? Bill Reichert Lives 35 Miles From Me And We Have Been Friends For A Long Time And He's Never Said Anything About It. I'd Like To Know "the Secret". Thanks.

I was told a couple of Years ago that Most(?) Drums of Nitro come up over 100% on the Meter. Don't ask me how that's Possible, but I've heard that from more than one person.

Unless there is an additive then you could have more than 100% of an ingredient in the recipe.

It depends on the temperature of the fuel, STP Standard Temperature and Pressure are the determining factors here. The colder the fuel, the higher the percentage. Remember the '60's and '70's when the carbureted cars ran "Cool Cans" full of tubing and ice? Most of you on here probably don't, but they did that to increase the specific gravity of the fuel. Yesterday at Bakersfield I pumped some straight can into a mixing jug and took a sample. It floated the hydrometer at 103, fuel temp was around 57 to 59 degrees. I love nitro, it's such a wonderful tuning tool when you get it right.

I sure wish somone would get their 101 class notebook out and study it before making comments on nitro. We just spent 2500 dollars for a digital hydrometor so we can be sure and get the stuff temp. corrected. Thats a lot of money out of a pure privateers pocket for sportsman racing.
