KB Olds Question

    KB OLds block. Blown combination. I am wanting to put a 4 stage dry sump system on and am confused on which port goes where between the galley above where the oil filter would be normally that looks to go to the main? And the one above it that looks to go to the cam galley. Do I use one or the other or both?
    I was told that I could scavange from the lower port?? Doesn't sound right thats why I am asking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. DJ

    You plug the hole on the side of the block. That is for an external filter for a wet sump. You put the oil feed in at the port on the back at the bellhousing behind the head on the passenger side. I've got a four stage deal on mine and I just pull 3 scavenges out of the pan. I run a 10 quart tank and I've never had an oiling issue. Been running this combo for 3 years.

    I think Robbie is confused. The oil inlet is not behind the passenger head, it is behind the driver head. It is the one above where the oil filter goes. Again like Robbie said the lower hole is for the oil going to the oil filter from a wet sump pump then it goes back into the motor with the higher located hole.

    Yeah I meant the driver side I guess my keyboard goes faster than the brain!:)
