Will is right ! where is the announcement .... lets see the one where they Officially cancelled the class first and then have them post the announcement that it is back on again or if Scooter is releasing it maybe we can get a definite maybe? If you get a chance to jump ship now may be a good time , no sense starting out the year without a great rapport with IHRA. may I suggest a boycott until they phone you all at home ?LMAO (some Rhetoric for Mark)

You guys think that Les is entertaining?You dont even know the half of it!I have many years of experience in the dealings with Les Mellows.From the first day that I was introduced to him,something just felt wrong.I will tell you this ....He is a bad man,a very bad man.Im not sure that I can endure another season of Ihra and Les Mellows,Im just not sure.

Its on the competition plus site that the new deal will be signed within days. It will be saved for now and into the future. I have also a scoop that it will be a better deal for all the racers this time.

Did anyone else read Aaron Polburn's article in the latest Drag Review last week that IHRA still has not secured a sponsor as of when the magazine went into print? His article is on the last page.

I made a phone call on Feb. 16th to find out what was really going on.
No money has changed hands; the contract has been sitting on the potential sponsor’s board of directors table since before Christmas, still not signed as of the 16th. Someone was going to go talk to them last week to see what the hold up was.
I was really hoping to hear something today if in fact it was going to happen.
I guess we have 24 days left… we'll see but
I'm starting to think we are done...
How long does it take to get a PSI? 12 weeks???

Say IHRA finally does come through in the nick of time and keeps the class......... why, after being treated this way, would anyone even want to go back? They were thrown under the bus once when they were told to find their own series/class sponsor. That wasn't enough writing on the wall..... well that and the introduction of Nitro F/C to know they've been pissied on? Yeah the NHRA doesn't always make the most popular decisions but I think the wisest ones were the ones that made the decision to move over there and abandon the IHRA the very instant they were told to find their own money..... for their top brass (whatever huge conglomerate corporation that currently owns IHRA) to put in their pockets. The Bader's aren't dumb people .... I think it said A LOT when they broke of their decades long association with them.
Just my two pennies, hope I didn't offend anyone. It certainly wasn't my intention but it bothers me to see people struggling to hold on. It's like watching a kid try to love an abusive parent.

 

Wow, I Can't Believe It.

 

They, IHRA announced today that AFC is a go for this season, but fail to mention who sponsered the class. Does'nt sound right to me. Wouldnt that sponser want "ink" ? afterall it is an advertising plan.
