Once again the whole broadcast (Saturday night qualifying) was about the almighty John Force. It was ALLLL about him not being qualified until the final round (niether was Doug Kallita). When they showed his final pass of him getting into the field, Bartone's chutes failed or something and he went sailing past the turn-off... but who did they stay focused on... the almight JF of course. There never made any mention of Barton'e run at all.
Though no one can dispute his performance and achievements, the guy's act is a farce. More than just a few times I've seen him climb out of the car at the hi-end completely relaxed and composed..... right up until the camera is in his face. Suddenly he's totally out of breath and completely exhausted. It may be good for the sport to bring in more fans... I dunno. It just gets old to many of the rest of us.

    John Force

Yes I have to say it is getting old with all the Force coverage. What is realy getting old is that lame duck Paul Page in the booth he does not know ---- about drag racing. Mike Dunn should put a muzzle on his mouth that should keep him quite. Better yet double Mike's Pay let him do all the talking. Way to go Clay Millican and team on that 4.479 he was realy halling the mail on that run.:)

Well if you think it was bad before how many times do you think we will see Ashley crossing into the other lane with the throttle still wide open? Not to mention the excuses Dad will make on TV for her almost drilling the guy in the other lane. Maybe JF put her into TFFC racing just a little to quick. She will think about that one for a long time!

    Team Force

you know i am not a huge Bazemore fan but have they even hardly mentioned he is in a dragster now. i would like to see some of the new cars and crew chief 's changes for this year but they spend soo much time on "TEAM FORCE" you dont get to see any of the other stuff. I have to agree but maybe they do that so Paul Page doesnt have to put his 1 cent in that would be wrong anyway!

I did, at least, like how none of the announcers including Dunn gave her a free pass on this. They made it very evident she royally screwed up. At first I thought it was cool how what's his name was in her face as soon as she was out of the car.... then I was beginning to feel bad for her because he was starting to go a little overboard ... but then, like her dad, she wouldn't shut up. At that point I no longer felt bad.
As to how many times daddy will makes excuses for her screw ups like this ....I'm wondering more about how many she'll get away with it before her, her daddy and the NHRA have a little meeting. How many major screw ups like this would they let any other rookie get away with?

It's kind of funny how John has not qualified until the last round the 2 last races. But look at the the amount of extra time given to him on TV because of it. Extra time to have his car on camera and plug sponsers.Could it be on purpose? hmmm.

    A-fuel mistake

A-fuel must not be a good place to train a TFFC driver. I think Dejoria is making a much better choice on her training ground. O'bannon told me, from what he's heard from those who have switched between dragster and FC, the driving concerns are with the steering. If you went from FC to dragster you'd probably be in trouble with over-correcting. But moving from dragster to funny car requires more steering input so the worst that could happen is you under correct and end up out of the goove and you have to lift. YOU HAVE TO LIFT! Eliminations or not, that was a huge mistake. Too bad she wouldn't be as big of a story running TFD, she'd probably be OK at that, not too different from AFD. Unfortunately daddy couldn't turn the sponsors away for this marketing blitz.
