A common practice of spring manufactures is to match the frequencies of the inner and outer spring. This does not help spring life. We have had sucess making the matches of spring frequencies from inner to outer signifigantly differnt to increase life.

Just a little insight on the LSM springs. We went 15 passes on them. On the 16th pass, a couple springs were down a bit on pressure. So far, better performance than the Manleys.

We have tested the new 1.500" diameter dual spring, from Peterson American, on several alcohol cars. I can not tell you how long they will last because no one has had to replace one yet.
The spring installs at 2.070" @ 500 pounds and has a spring rate of 780, Solid at 1.130". Part # 1355 is 47 grams lighter than a common triple and uses a retainer that weighs 15 grams. The frequency of the outer is 5,400 cycles higher than a typical titanium outer spring. All of these features are necessary if the engine speed is going to exceed 10,000 RPM.
We sell these springs and the rest of the small diameter family.
If you would like more info just call me. 951 674-2212
