I've been talking to a mall here in town about doing a display before the #14 Foundation charity race we're planning, and they're on my case about having liability insurance to bring the car in. Does anyone have any experience with needing insurance for displays?

    Event Insurance

I was involved with a group of people who used to do an annual car show for charity. The owner of the property where we held the show required us to hold our own event insurance. If I remember correctly, it was a 1M accident and 1M liability coverage policy for the event. One of our guys got the policy through his local insurance agent.

If it's for your operation only you should be able to get a binder pretty cheap.
