we have two pads going from each side of the trans to the lower frame rail then also a plate that bolts to the rear of the reverser (like powerglides use) with "blow back" bars to the rear end mounting bars

i run a bruno and a 3 speed lenco and have brackets like tranman. the only exception is my brackets mount on the bolts that hold the reverser to the next lenco log. the blow back braces are critical for my application because they keep the flywheel from rubbing the rear motor plate. i have bent several flywheels without the blow back braces but the addition of the blow back braces cured this problem.

mcfly - thats the flywheel that i bent! i spent over $300.00 for a mezierie billet flywheel and bent it because it didn't use any blow back support for the tranny and drive. also cost me a starter drive. when you have a dragster that does 1.00 60' times with the rear wheels and don't run any tranny/drive support expect to bent flywheels. as they say - you can learn from mistakes or you can make your own - one costs money the other learns from experience.

We run a Reactor and we've never bent one. I don't know what our car 60's with the rear tires, but it does .90-.91's with the fronts. We've had the same one in the car for about 4 yrs. with no problems.

brandon - you have seen my dragster at dorchester (PTO races) hook during 1st round when the track comes in (white BOS car). after the episode of the bent mezierie flywheel i switched back to the reactor which is in the car now. my point of this thread is that without some type of support/brace on the lenco there is little to keep the motor/tranny from moving and a bent flywheel is the expensive result. my "normal" 60' times run from .93 to .97 with the front tires.

De droll!!...I hate when I misread. My bad....we run the blowback tubes as well, and they are a must have. You can call Spitzer and tell him the tube o.d. on the uprights and the length needed for the tubes, and he can send it all to you.
