Looking to invest in a new pair of bare heads for a little blown alcohol 468 BBC with an 8-71 high-helix retro blower and birdcatcher. Would like to make 1000-1200 horsepower. What are the opinions on heads? I have been looking at 345, 355, and 360's. Dart, Merlin, Canfield, RHS Pro Topline? We have a set of Dart 355 CNC's on a naturally aspirated motor, and they are great. Know that Merlins are decent too. But what about Canfield and Racing Head Service Pro Topline heads?

Thanks in advance for any and all input.

    Heads

MY ADVICE IS USE BMF HEADS MADE BY CFE
YOU CAN SEE THEM AT WWW.BMFRACING.COM
THEY ARE THE HOT TICKET FOR THE NEW YEAR.
THEY MAKE THE HIGHEST CFM NUMBERS ON THE MARKET. VERY RESONABLE PRICING ALSO.

Adam...watch out for guys peddling junk.
You want cast iron, or alum?
Doesn't take much cylinder head to make that power.
    Don't forget longevity.

Damn Wags, I can't get away from you anywhere! I'm looking to order a new set of bare castings...would prefer aluminum, but I know you're a big fan of cast iron. You're the machinist, what's a good head to invest in? Eric has new intake and exhaust valves and a new set of springs, so I'm just looking for bare set. Check your PM's on the alley, I messaged you to see if you have any spare blower pulleys you'd want to get rid of.

I was thinking about the Pro Topline 360's, but have heard that the stud threads strip out real easy.
