KB Olds Starter

I'm looking at purchasing a KB Olds Stage I. Rules dictate self starting. This block has no provisions for a starter. Is there a way to mount a starter or do I have to weld a pad and machine a mount. I am running a Powerglide. Were any blocks manufactued with starter mounts?

I Thought All Kb Olds Had Mounts. They Have A Adapter From Kb That Takes The Place Of The Starter Mount.

 

we mounted a little chevy type starter on of tfx hemi. just mount the starter to the motorplate. we use a 7/16 motorplate, and works great. let me know if i can be of any help. darren

i've got one of oddys older kb olds motors and he did have to weld a mount on the block to bolt the starter to.

 

Crank mount RCD should do the trick.

I was told by NHRA today that a blower starter was self starting so we can run 1/d with a blower starter

 

This is in an Anglia, so no room for a crank starter.
