Legal 1/4 mile tracks are supposed to be the same but a few 1/4 mile and most 1/8th mile tracks may vary.

Out of curiosity, and for setting visibility while in the shop, what is the standard for the positioning of the tree?

Distance forward to the tree, distance sideways to the tree from the center of the lane, and distance from the ground to the top bulb.

I think there may be a difference in tree height between NHRA and IHRA. I was watching a Pro 5.0 race on Speed Channel not too long ago. They were running it at Gateway Int'l Raceway in St. Louis (an NHRA track). There was someone who ran an IHRA Pro Stock Mustang set-up, maybe Robert Patrick, and the announcer made a comment that the track had to raise the tree so that the driver could see it over the scoop.

This is my home track. Tree is the same, It's the allowable scoop height which varies from NHRA to IHRA. NHRA is 11 in. max from the hood surface and IHRA is 13 inches. This doesn't answer the original question, but DOES shed some light on the previous thread.
