starter advice

    on the rcd starter mounted on the front of the crankshaft was not engaged or turned in how munch damage would it do to the drive or crank

    it could either kick back and hurt your hands, or just burr up the cog where the starter connects. depending on the motor and compression.

    Back in the day there was no door nobb to screw the drive into the dog, and boy did we chew up some dog's, ya had to carry 2 or 3 extras all the time, and yes it beat up your hands too. :eek: :eek:

    this starter is bolted to a rcd front bracket that bolts to the crank support

    This is common practice on A-fuel dragsters. Never noticed anyone having problems. They use the RCD brackets and you can remone or set up to leave on.
