lenco foot clearance

    putting together a new car, old chassis. lower rail is 18" wide upper is 19". how much foot clearance do i need. i have found a cs2 lenco but its almost 10" wide. with the shift pods offset to the side, thats only 4" to squeeze my foot by to the clutch pedal. the cs1 is 8" wide body.i havent had a chance to call lenco. does anybody run the cs2 in a funny?

    We have set ours up with a CS2 since we already had the tranny from a TAD. There is limited room, but we have answered this by going with the narrow Stroud boots that have the soles.

    OSI, thanks for the input. do the shift pods get in the way? seems like there flush with the case. once ya get the foot in, could you get stuck, or is it just tight? really need to get a tranny in the car just dont want to cause myself a big headache.

    The pods are only offset a small amount. I don't see them as a problem. Like you said, the case is a bit larger, but it doesn't seem to be much of a problem with the new boots.
