Well now that they have made the new rule changes, I have been doing some research on the Hans. I see that there are models from 10 to 40. What are the top alcohol guys using. Some say for upright use and some say they are layed back. Just wondering which one to use, any thoughs might help my billfold out.

its worth the effort to contact brad or mark at NitroRadios.com. They sell new and sometimes have used ones. They sell the r3 which is what force cars run. Give them a call, please tell them Andy Kelley sent you, they help me out, so i am trying to return the favor.

When I ordered my Hans a few years ago, I called them direct, got to talk to a real person, (was not on hold for more than a minute or so) about fitment. I was driving a doorcar, and my chest angle was about 75 degrees. They told me to get the upright version, and they were right. The laid back models are really only for F1 type cars where you are pretty much laying on your back.

The Shoe is correct. Level your car. Measure the angle of the seat back. If it's upright or nearly so, order the ten degree. If it's laid back a lot, order the 40 degree. I too called Hans and talked to a real live lady who told me just the opposite. I recorded the conversation because it didn't make sense. However Alan Bradshaw straightened me out on how it worked and then sold me his 30 degree for my lay down dragster. He has another one if anybody is interested. He's a great guy and deals straight.
