what onboard starter are you guys using? I run a smallblock chevy ,10-71 high helix SSI and a 44pro mag and need to spin the motor over faster!
Im using a newer style small GM truck starter and hitting it with 24volts this set up works ok but when the batteries get down a little the starter wants to kick out and cranks over too slow for the promag.

I run a 540 BAE with 44 mag and a 14-71 HH,I use the CSR 24 volt starter and the new "smart start" box they have and two yellow top optima's.I can run a whole weekend without charging the batterys. If any of this helps-good luck.
