We're going to buy a computer this offseason, and I posted here that I was looking for a Pro1a (thanks for all responses). I called racepak, to price a new system, and they said I needed a Pro1b. What's the difference between an a & b?
    thanks

The pro 1-b is the new version of a pro1-a.

The b is a better unit. There are more channels available. We ended up going with the pro-II. Ron Armstrong helped us out at Racepak.

    Bryan,

The Pro-IB will provide you several things: the ability to monitor ignition timing, use a Pro-Dash, and longer recording time. Take a look at what features are offered on each model (Pro-IA, Pro-IB, and Pro-II) and see which best meets your needs. Compare new & used, and make a decision based on your needs and budget. Good luck, hope this helps.
