Alright, I am losing more hair here. To many options. Billet 60 or 120 degree rotors; Bird, Buzzard, small 10 inch; pie, large, small bottom opening. And we haven't even gotten to the gears, plates etc. I imagine that anything billet is better than cast so there is a couple of answers. Oh, alcohol 526 ci RED. I have read that some things are personal preference but can someone give me the readers digest version. Thanks for answering the dumb monkeys question!

It's not really that complicated. Get as close as you can afford to a Kobelco high helix superman or a psi. They are small inlet, around 10 inches, retrofit pie outlet,120 deg rotors. Littlefield probably offers the most bang for the buck.J.R. from rbssuperchargers.com will back me up .It's a good time to buy a used roots blower as lots of IHRA funny car guys are moving to NHRA or a new hobby.

How fast? As fast as I can afford! My personal quest is 250 + but reality is much different than a dream.....I will run 1/8 and 1/4 mile heads up! I can't afford TAD so thats out. I was looking at the RBS site and thats what made me pull my hair out which I don't have a lot to lose! Just shopping around and trying to find the best for the best price.

So the SSI D w/ F2 is a good blower...comparable to what? Kobelco w K8's, K8 Superman, K11 Superman? It seems like the K11 is the best right now from what I have heard and read. In descending order whats next? How good is the SSI?

The SSI are getting more laps before restripping and have the same performance as the PSI Hi-Helix. For a while there was a problem with the K-11 rotors that has been corrected.

Isn't the F rotor a larger diameter than the D rotor ?. I see in your last post you make mention of the SSI strips lasting longer , I was curious how many runs you are getting before you have to re-strip your SSI .

I think the best Rootes is probably the Kobelco K-11. The question is if you want the set back version which is the K-11 Superman.

Rob Atichison went 5.68, I believe, last year at Maryland, running a PSI roots blower. The PSI makes lots of power, but as evident by Rob’s inconsistency this year, they’re hard to tune. By this I mean the boots they produce is not smooth, through the entire rpm range, making it difficult to handle when boost peaks at different rpm’s. As far as a problem with the K11 rotors having a problem, never hear this before. It worked real well for us at Norwalk this year.

    Psi - Top Blower !

The PSI is far superior in every way to anything else on the market period .
Also as a note anything you bolt on to make power can ever be to blame for the problems you may encounter !!!!(you just unbolt it) IF THE BLOWER WAS A PROBLEM WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT OFF 6 MTHS AGO, WE WISHED IT WAS THAT EASY ! (I guess we appear slow learners;) ) We have made a huge advance in engine power and we as people have not found the sweet spot YET,nothing at all to do with the Blower because we did put our Kobelco K-8 superman on to test and had less power and the same result.
When we find the sweet spot it will be with a PSI and it will be very interesting to see where we end up when we conquer those demons.

I believe the Littlefield blowers with the K-9 rotors or early K-8 rotors had problems with the rotors cracking and comng apart.

It was the k9's. General advise seems to be to stay away from a K9 rotor, no matter who's case.........
