Anyone know of any lightweight 16 volt batteries that are capable of starting a car numerous times (4 or 5) before recharging?

I use the one summit sells. Its a gell cell and i've had no problems starting the car. Pro mod 557 KB olds. I tried putting 2 of the smaller "Stealth Rock" batteries in on both 12 and 24 volt and if it didnt start on the first few revolutions i was screwed. Summitt Part # PWM 1000 $195. Jon

I'm not aware of any "light weight" 16 volt battery's. If they made one I would have one. The two manufactures both come in just below 50 lbs.
Will not know how many starts you'll get off it until you try it. But your goal is realistic.

If you can get away with a 12 volt, the Optima 31T will do the job with no problem. It is a little heavier at 62 LBS but you will only need one. Will start the car at least twice that many times and feed a MSD-10 and alot of electronics before a re-charge.
