We run carbon brakes on the front and rear of our tafc Strange master cylinder. Brake pressure is 1000# but only 400# on front. I hearing that the carbon brakes on the front are the problem. What should the front pressure be. 400# seems low. It seems to me that it should be in the 600# to 700# range. any thoughts

Jeff ,Do you have BRAIDED or SOLID line to the front? (should have solid) just a start. We get about 600 to the fronts.

Are you using the single or dual Strange master cylinder. If it is the dual then outlet that is closest to the rod should go to the back brakes and the the other to the front brakes.

WE were having problems with our brakes (dual system) and had low pressure. We could only get around 500 psi. We bled and bled and bled the wheels and the line to the pressure gauge then suddenly the air burped out and the pressure came up to 1200 psi. Since then we bought one of those pressurized self bleeders and never have any problems anymore. They cost $39 and has a tank that you fill with brake fluid and a dvice you clamp on the filler on the master cylinder. Pump the tank up to 10 psi and release the bleeder screws. You can easily flush the system or bleed it far better than the old way.

    What size master cylinder?
If your running 4 puck calipers in the rear & 2 puck calipers in front you need at least a 1in bore cylinder, if running 4 puck calipers in front & rear you need an 1 1/8 cylinder
    Hope this helps.
