Would somebody mind shedding some light on the various different blowers out there? Difference in standard rotors vs. K11 rotors, PSI d,e,f or any other designations.
We are running a blown alky nostalgia funny car, with a Littlefield 6-71 standard cast 60 degree rotors, retro case front discharge, small top opening. Engine size is 477 cid with a Enderle 110 pump and bugcatcher. Would like to graduate to a larger blower (maybe even 14-71) next season but do not need the high dollar stuff. we only match race right now.

Suggestions and help are greatly appreciated.

Here Is A Few Thoughts For You
There Are Standard Rotors 60 Degree Rotors That Are Cast Or Billet And There Are 120 Degree Rotors That Are Know As The Hi Helix Rotors
The Cast Rotors Are Usually Gm Factory But Bds Has Started Casting There Own Rotors.
Usually The Difference Between Stock Rotors And K-11 Or The New Ssi F Rotor Is .040 Stock Rotors Are 5.800 Dia. K-11 Or F Rotors Are 5.840 Dia. Which Is The Max Rotor Dia Allowed By Nhra, ihra, ntpa Making The Rotors Larger Sweeping More Air Per Revolution.
Ssi Has Been Know For The Letter Designation Over The Years Of B,c,d,f Rotors And Basically It Comes Down To Rotor Profiles And Rotor Dia.
All Race Blowers Today Use Billet Rotors. Psi Makes There Own Rotors As Well Ssi Makes There Own. Littlefield Typically Uses The K-11 Kobelco Rotors In There Race Blowers. Kobelco Makes There Own Rotors As Well. Typically Mooneyham, hampton, blower Shop Uses Rotors Made By A Company In La.
Most All These Blowers Work Well And As We Know In The Race Industry Sometimes There Is One Better Than Others But That Also Has To Do With The Tune Up And Motor Combonation As Well As Your Budget. That Is What I Always Try To Work Out With A Customer Is What Is There Goals With There Race Program And Of Course What Is The Budget. Bottom Line Get Your Hot Rod To The Track Before Burn Out Sets In And Have Some Fun.

If you call the original manufacture, we have a log book of all blowers sold, give us the serial number, located on top/rear of the blower, we can then
tell you exactly what you have.

    Thanks

    Blower Rotors

I Think It Would Have Kobelco K-8 Rotors. There Would Be No Exact Way To Now As Sees Has Made Some Kobelco Copy Rotors That Look Almost Exactly The Same. The Best Thing Would Be To Call Big Lee At Merts And Give Him The Serial Number He Should Be Able To Tell What The Rotors Are. For Some Time There Was A Back Log On The Rotors From Kobelco So They Had See's Whip Some Up And They Look Identical. Lee Is 714-992-9292 Good Luck Jr
