Is it me or is DSR gotten to big in the pro ranks? DSR has been monlopyzing the sport making it harder for the smaller teams to compete. This past week taking on two more prostock teams(the way i read it on nhra.com).DSR already has 2TF(Tony Schumacher, Melanie Troxel 4 FC Ron Capps,Gary Scelzi,Whit Bazemore and soon Mike Ashely 4PST Richie Stevens,Shawn Carlson and now Erica Enders and Gene Wilson 2PSTBK Angelle Sampey,Antron Brown. So my question is whats next, a few TAD/AFD and TAFC teams? God i hope not it would wreck the sportsman ranks, they are fun to watch and don't have the buget to compete big operation, this would keep lower buget teams staying in or getting started. This is just my view of it.

It's obvious that our sport at the Pro level is all about marketing, but at what point will DSR's "team" get so big that, like we're seeing with the name O'Reilly's (6 of the 23 NHRA races, and now Indianapolis Raceway park is now O'Reilly Raceway Park---after 75 years !!), will the NHRA be SHRA ?? If he was a phone company the Gov would step in and declare him a monopoly and start busting him up ! ha

i hate to see DSR fielding so many teams as well. it's all about money these days. when he goes to land a sponsor he has the advantage on the rest of us out here. lets say he's trying to put together a deal that cost the sponsor $500,000. he can sweeten the deal quite a bit when he tells them that this money will also get their name on his other 10 cars as an associate sponsor. that's giving the sponsor alot more bang for the buck! it also takes money out of some other racers pockets with a lost opportunity on that sponsor. the rich guys get all the breaks, and the rest of us continue to suffer trying to do what we love with little or no money. just my 2 cents

Welcome to the world of BIG BUSINESS
He does more than make battery chargers he also makes trans-formers and coils for the electrical industry and I'm sure other stuff as well.
NHRA will never do anything about it because they look at it as bringing more sponsors to the sport.
I don't like it, but what are you going to do. If you try and limit the teams you can own that would be like our goverment telling you how many cars you can own or how many kids you can have.

Talk about zip codes, you should have seen the community that team Force had set up in E-town. With John, Eric, Robert, Ashley, Courtney, Brittany, the technology center, hospitality center, and various other support equipment, they could have started their own country:D
