does anyone know STEVE GROUP and how I could get in touch with him
I here he was an old alcohol racer and was told to post it on this site
he built a blown 392 hemi street legal altered back in the late 70's
he was a crane or heavy equipment operator I think in Ohio
he also had an opel gt funny car body for the chassis MOODY BLUES was the name of it
I would really like to talk to him or someone that knows the history on the car
I have a hot rod magazine dated November 1978 with the altered on the cover and one in 1979 with it at the street rod nationals in Illinois again with the altered body
the magazine with the opel I don't have yet so I cant give you a date on it but it also was a hot rod magazine
the car has a 1988 street machine nations participant sticker on it # 3431 from Illinois
if I could maybe go that route
if anyone has any information on this car please leave your number I will call you
or you can call me at 815-467-6353
    call collect if you like
any and all information is greatly appreciated
if I knew how to post a picture I have several of the car
    it might jog someone's memory
