We ran a merlin headed deal and used Champion V59C with good results. 440 cube, standard 8/71, 2300 lb, 7.18 @ 185.

    Sparkplugs

For BB's Champion makes N57DR's through N61DR's. the 57's are very cold and will not cause detonation. you can start cold and back up a step if you wish

Verify that the Merlin heads have a .460" reach with a tapeed seat, if so a Champion V59C is the same as a NGK R5673-8 or an Autolite AR133. I think they are all one step too warm. A Champion V57C or an NGK R5673-9 or an Autolite AR132 would be better.

The Darts I believe use a .750" reach with a gasket and should use a NGK R5671A-9 which is the same as a Autolite AR3933

    As a note here:

The NGK R5671A-9 is the same as a NGK B9ES except the 5671 takes a 5/8 socket and the B9ES takes a 13/16 socket

The same goes for the NGK R5673-9 it is a 5/8 where as the B9FS is a 13/16" socket
