    Hemi Starter

We run a blown TFX hemi in our altered. The problem area is the width of the bottom frame tubes.
We have been using a motor plate mounted starter on our TFX for years.
We use a modified Chevy Powermaster starter. This requires a modification to the oilpan and an accurately machined register hole in the moter plate. We run a custom built billet 2 speed trans & converter. JW will make a flexplate with the 8 bolt hemi hole pattern & chevy starter ring gear.
Contact john@jd2chassis.com for more info. Car can seen on our web site www.jd2chassis.com

Doesn't Brad hisself run a starter in his ProMod cars? I could be wrong, but I thought the starter had to be on the car.

Im in the same predicament. Tim Mcamis makes a Hemi Mid plate that is machined, drilled and tapped for a starter. You have to buy an adapter from Mcamis ($250) that bolts to the mid plate and then buy a CSR starter from Mcamis ($350) This set up will work with a Chevy style starter ring gear. A majority of the Pro Mod guys are using this set up. Also, if you are running an automatic, I have a BRAND NEW Reactor Flywheel for a hemi crank flange, it has a Chevy ring gear. It has NEVER been used. $200

Outlaw PM me with all of the info.I would like to buy the reactor from you. I have one now on my car and was going to buy a new one for this project.

All good Ideas, I think I will be making a mount for the mid plate and use a GPE starter. I helped Greg Porter with is first BBC Blower 450 RPM DRYSUMP application. I am sure we can work this out with the direction you guys have given. Thanks
