With the current balance in TAD, who's going to be the first one to field a blown car and an injected car to run for the title??

Just think how scary it would be if Conway did it...

Why would Conway run one blown and one injected car? He seems to be running as good in the heat with the fuel car as anyone out there with or without a blower. Doesn't seem to be hurting it either. He has the best hot weather 98% tuneup out there.

Didn't Jeff Wilson already attempt this on a limited basis?

shelly did it last year and bradshaw did it the year before.

wilson's a/fuel deal is no longer in place...he's actually working on a spitzer tafc he should debut soon.

    mercier still has two cars...

yes conway is running good in the heat...impressive to say the least...so is meyer.
i'm just saying that from the fact he has a pretty good handle on both combinations.

do you guys remember when tom conway had 3 different motor combinations in the trailer? i think it was in the late 80's or early 90's. he had a blown hemi, blown wedge motor, and an injected hemi. the big thing back then was the weight breaks, and which combo had the advantage at the time. i think there were about 8 or 9 different weight breaks at the time......that was pretty interesting.

i think over time the legend has developed into tom running all 3 combos in one race. i'm pretty sure he only ran 2 in one race, the 94 slick 50 nats i think. he ran the wedge, then him and linda, pretty much by themselves, switched the car from a blown wedge motor to a/fuel and made the qualifying session. it included switching fuel tanks and all. it didn't run well, so for first round, they put the blown combo back in.

    talk about alot of work...
