In 1 revolution, the PSI "D" rotor displaces 10.8 liters of air. The "C" rotor displaces 11.2 liters of air!

Could a PSI screw compressor be used with nitro, or would the mechanical internal case compression ratio wreak havoc (ie: stressed nitro loads in confined spaces....)?

Hey CMD, Thats a pretty trick looking motor you got there! What's the spacer between the manifold and blower? Is it so you can use a certain length belt?I like the fuel nozzles via sprint car style. Way Cool!

Hi CMD, How big is that SBC? What heads are you using? How are you keeping the heads sealed between the center cylinders? and last but least, and most important How fast has it been so far? Thanks.

When Drazy originally designed the Blower, he intended for it to find a place in the Fuel ranks.
I believe they were run for a meeting or two, before being banned in an effort at the time to keep top speeds down.

    Thanks. Yeah too trick sometimes!
You guessed it; the 1480 was too short and the 1600 too long, plus I was using an old Weiand manifold! Besides, I like to make things!

There was no place to put port nozzles except at the head (they were sprint car heads ) so I made "Y" adapters (see picture) and put two nozzles at the valve with just enough fuel at the blower to cool.

    PSI "C" Blower

    It's 400ci : 3/4 x 4.125.

The heads are Brodix 11x with down nozzles for a sprint car; in fact, the block and heads were from a 410 Sprinter.

Sealing is not a problem if you are tuned not to detonate! We are only up to 42-45 lbs boost at 45% over, so I can't speak for higher pressures. Studs, O rings and copper gaskets of course!

To this point, high 6's, but, ( racers always have a but! LOL ) we were still sneaking up on a tuneup when I pulled the plug! Norm Drazy roughed us in on the fuel volume and we were working our way down from too rich using a linear curve ( PSI and Waterman Little Bertha- both linear ) with no high speeds or pump loop. We did under drive the pump though.

    PSI "C' Blower

    Yep!

    MSD 8 = 34+ amp draw = on board battery = alternator.

It's just a RIDE, not a class car!

    Hello Tom,

No, a local guy, Joe Timney at Delaware Chassis Works and I built it.

Ron, John, myself and some others have lunch every Saturday at Smyrna Diner, schedules permitting. I'll tell them you were asking about them.
