Just a note of personal thanks to Firefox Industries. We pushed the head gasket out No. 8 on the last qualifier right in the lights. I saw the flash, then when I saw the flames continue coming out around the injector and alot of smoke in the cockpit, I immediately hit the bottles. I kept waiting for it to get hot as I stopped the car, but the fire was out by the time I got the car stopped and got out of the car.

    Another 'satisfied' customer...

As a note of suggestion, if you run a pressure activated plunger on your second fire bottle, make sure you keep it clean. Ours hung up, and only deployed one bottle. After talking to Jeff McGaffic, with chrome moly you have to keep that plunger cleaned and lubed regularly, almost once a month in high humidity locations like Louisiana where our car is based.

The damage was minimal...more on that in my blog later.

Yep, they work, we had a small fire when something clogged a nozzle and leaned a cylinder which, put out the burst panels. Funny thing is the track cleanup crew wanted to know what the green stuff was (they thought it was oil) turns out there is anti-freeze in the bottles. That stuff also really cleans grease & oil.
