hello, Im building a turbocharged 526 BBC 4.600 bore x 3.95 stroke motor. and am thinking about running alcohol for fuel and am wondering about what the compression should be? I been told by a few people that 10.5 to 11.0 to 1 would that be fine. btw. its a wedge headed motor, any suggestions? Im not trying to make crazy power 1500hp or so.

    Thanks very much.

How much compression are you guys running with the roots or screw blowers with alcohol?

If your wanting to stay around 1500 hp, that compression would be fine. Would not need much boost to put you there. I'm running a centrifical blower on gas with 9 to 1 compression and without really pushing it make 1900hp with a 565.

Big Chief. They were fully ported for my 632 nitrous deal. So for the 565 there plenty of head.

10.5 or11.to one is good for blown alcohol,if you go to high, tuning is more difficult.1500 hp easily obtained with 526 cu in.25 lbs boost should put you close, those pistons don,t know or care how the boost was made.
