    Roots to Screw

    Hey Mark,
Hate to hear you guys are going to a screw, but I can understand where your comming from. I guss we'll have to find some one else to borrow clutch parts from when we need them :D. Stop by Martin and visit some time, for the best beer and barbque in the funny car pits.
Good luck, next season, and happy holidays from everyone at TNT Motorsports Racing

Hello Mark, A good running screw car can easily go low 70's only running high 2.50's low 2.60's to 330.

    GOOD LUCK NEXT YEAR!

    Mark's right.
Mid 2.50s @ 330 and mid 3.70s @ half track should give you mid 5.60s depending on the air.

My experience has shown that .930 sixty foot times give you around a 9 to 10 second run.

why would you want to change mark? there isn't any reason (except money) that you and fred can't win any ihra race you attend.

WE don't want to change, but its sounding like one more year with IHRA, . we are the only class IHRA does not have series sponsor for! besides the car count could be horrible next year then what? they only had five cars in 2005 that attended every race! one thing is for sure racing IHRA is a whole lot of fun? and we hope our class stays.

It sure is not looking good for the ihra alky funnies . Evan Knoll has his hand in every class but the af/c class . Also with the nitro funnies coming back, bigger purse in t/f and the possibility of the nitro harleys returning the show is getting bigger and I would look for a class to get dropped . Will they have 2 pro funny car classes ? , I doubt for long . If the nhra pro mod exhibition class does not run in 06 there could be a lot more pro mods showing up also .

    what's the best?

Anytime I'm doing color commentary in the booth, if I look over at the incrementals, and see a low 2.5 to 2.4 at the 330', I know the guy's probably going to post a big number in the .50's. Our best so far is 2.55 (.942 60').

Anyone know what Manzo or Payne ran on their low .50's?

    2.46 Will

    On our 5.70 the 330 was 2.48 and 3.72 198@half track. a screw car would be 2.65 or better @ 208.

M Tiggs- why is it that a screw doesent go to 330 as well as a roots-we have been mid 250's at 330'--is it they are trying to run such alow gearbox 62-68 they dont get on the tire as well.??????
