I'm new to tuning blown alcohol, do any of you use a software program to tune with? if so, which one? if not, do you calculate by hand and use a logbook to record your data in? where would I get one?
Or is this a 'verbotin' topic that nobody discusses?
    Thanks, Oj

Alky pro for all your fuel system tuning is the best. But hire a tuner right off the get go. Best money you'll ever spend. They'll have an eye on everything while you concentrate on driving. Most will get you squared away in a day. Then it's just a matter of how hard you wanna run it versus the maintenance you wanna do.

Go www.AlkyPro.com and read up on it. You can also download a limited edition for you to play with. There is also an instruction manual you can download.

I've been looking at that, I was waiting to download the DataClutch recorder tomorrow so I'd have some information to work with when I download the trial version. I did not see the instruction manual, that is perfect, I'll do it today, thanks for that.

If the software predicts an 'X' Main Jet and the Fuel Pressure is lower than you'd like can you force it to recalculate Main Jet and pills at a driven fuel pressure at the same GPM? I saw where you can do incremental changes on the pills and see the effect on fuel pressure but that seems a little tedius to work it all out.

The easiest way to increase fuel pressure and maintain your tune is to have the software make the hat or the port jets slightly smaller which it can compute automatically. The Alky Pro will recompute
main jet size to keep fuel to the motor the same GPM maintains your tune. If you change the main jet size to change fuel pressure you change the amount of fuel going into the motor which messes up your tune

Thanks, that was a bit of an unfair question, I shouldn't have asked.
A better question is that I am building a double A car as well, a nice old 392 with a 2 lobe Bowers and 4port, can I use the same software to do both cars or do I need a separate license for each?

Yes, just build and save two different setups then load which ever one you want to use. No limit on how many different configurations you can build and save.

why do you say that question was unfair?

A bit too technical requiring a definitive answer.

Alky Pro allows you to change port and hat pill size by percentage up and down and see the different fuel pressure while automatically keeping the GPM to the engine the same.
