456 cu in max, 5.00 lbs per cu inch, 2400 lbs min, 85% in the tank. What combination is going to work? Any predictions?

Well, given the fact that you need new everything on both sides of the reverser and at least 50 passes to learn how to make it get down the track, it sounds like a fantastic way to increase participation.

Maybe if NHRA gave better incentive for the 100+ inactive TAFC sitting in shops gathering dust to drag all their stuff to the track they would see better results.

Plus all the added "safety rules" and equipment, that have been added to most of the upper classes. Just that in its self has added huge costs to the sport. From what I've heard from NHRA, there is going to be big safety rules added over the winter for next year. That doesn't help getting the cars back to the track any time soon.

456 CID & 5.00 LBS PER IN. is still only 2280 lbs? kinda weird. I would like to see a 417 Donovan in one.
