Okay, lets say you race blown meth. Sportsman and Pro Mod, mixed depending upon the day........

You go out and buy say a Computech whole trailer weather station with pager, and get familiar with it.

Then what do people do at that point with the data it provides, and how does that all tie into your overall tune-up decisions?. Maybe put more simply, what do you do next?

I'm kind of a bit fuzzy on the second half here. Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

You buy alky pro and Input your fuel setup into the equation. Then it gives you a accurate jet for any situation you go in. Fuel timers , poppets the whole nine. It will give you every answer your looking for. If your tune up is safe it will continue safe. If your thinking of making a pump loop change it will calculate it for you and show you at 8000&9000 rpm how much fuel is giving or taking away. By far the best thing I bought. When the air gets killer and your thinking it needs to move 3 numbers. But after alky pro does its thing you really needed 8 numbers! Your fuel tune up stays exactly the same every run. Priceless!

Some people find Bob Szabo's Pro Calc system to be excellent for predicting tune up changes also. He give excellent support to keep you from getting lost. I think info can be found at "Density online"

Thanks Guys. Are there any EFI racers who might want to chime in on this topic?

How does weather data help you most? Do you use it? How do you use it?

    Thanks.

I too have found Alky Pro to be spot on.

On the TD I tune we have an Altronics weather station that had the pager system. The pager signal kept getting weaker and weaker. My customer has a wifi hot spot in the trailer, so I ditched the pager and put team viewer on the computer in the trailer (the weather station feeds the data into Crew Chief Pro) and on my phone so I just log into the lap top from my iphone. I could pull up the racepak if I wanted to.

This lets me turn the phone into a live, real time display of the weather station at the trailer. Then I punch the data into the laptop with alky pro (we carry that to the lanes) and get the jet I need.

A bit of warning though - I sat my phone on the injector as the 'display'. Well after the burnout, I reached down for my phone in my pocket, to realize...oh s#%t...I left it on the car. I couldn't see it on the track, and I looked down and it was in the belly pan under the bellhousing where I couldn't reach it. It was first round so I sent it. It was wedged under the quick drive and the belly pan after the run. I figured for sure it would be melted or damaged....wiped the atf off and used it. LOL.

That's the kind of thing I would do with my phone....

If you have a trailer weather station connected to your Alky Pro It will transmit weather data and main jet size out onto the internet so you can use the Alky Pro apps on your phone in the staging lanes. It works great.
