Anyone prefer one or the other? Used cn in our nitrous stuff always was a solid foundation. BAE is good to. Has anyone ran the raised cam AJPE BLOCK? Looking at CN for either a short or std deck block.

I think the spread lifter and raised cam is the only way to go. Brad and CN seem to have more ready. Aj had a head stud issue and not sure if it was ever resolved. The blocks were fine but the studs were failing at an alarming rate.

If your running outlaw why not step up to the 4.9 deal? There are several out there running with good success.

Also, AJPE is coming out with a “new” hemi design, bigger head studs, ability to pull the heads with the intake, raised intake port, etc.

There’s lots of trick options these days, if your buying a run of the mill block and a run of the mill head, your gonna be left behind.

That's the problem I've heard. A older -.500 deal with 60 mm cam and 2.100 lifters isn't any better than a .100 tall deal. It's the 2.600 spread , 70 mm cam and larger sleeves where all the hp is. Not to mention the raised intake ports with the .100 tall intakes
