pro mag and power grid

    i am having a issue with setting timing on crank trigger , i have set crank trigger to 34 degree and when i check with timing light it is about 29 degrees so i moved crank trigger a little and still does not show correct also when i use the crossover the generator timing does not show correct neither. is there some programming in the grid causing this issue as i have tried setting max timing from 34 to 40 degree and still does not alter timing. i am new to the power grid as this is new setup

    First set the timing with the crossover switch on mag and turn the mag so it is on 34*. Then turn the crossover switch to crank trigger and set it to 34* reading with the timing light regardless of what you think the stationary timing is. What you see with the timing light is the correct timing.

    i have tried to move the mag and somehow it will not allow me to go over 29 degrees even thought i advanced the position of the gernerator. that is why i am wondering if i have something set in the grid stopping me

    What is the blue wire from the Grid hooked up to and what timing light are you using?

    dark blue to transbrake and light blue not used. and i am using flaming river self powered non adjustable timing light
