Got the news that Fred Hagen, Sr., passed away this morning. Fred was a long time NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car campaigner and was a stalwart in the Division 3 area racing under the "Dark Horse" and "Apocalypse Now" monikers. His son Fred Hagen, Jr., took over the driving duties in 2009, and won the 2011 Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk.

Fred was always known for making big power and had a close association with Fred Mandoline. RIP and Godspeed! Our prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
