I currently run a 8 non X I want to have a spare cylinder head in the trailer will a stage 5 Fathead bolt right on. Yes I know the 8 will flow a tad more not concerned with that just want to know can I run a 8 non X on 1 bank and a 5 on the other?

If I remember correctly the headers are not interchangeable. Angle of the head around the exhaust ports is different.

My olson zoomies on the dragster went right on from 5's to 8x heads. I called Dan before running and he said they will fit fine. The x is simply a little different angle but will absolutely work. Maybe funny car guys have issues with body clearance though.

That different angle can cause problems with chassis bars in a PM.

Chris... The 8 has a different intake port, different exhaust port, and a slightly different chamber than the 5. There are plenty of 8's out there to be had at a very reasonable price. You would be far better off finding a spare 8 than trying to make an engine run with 2 different heads. I think we even have a standard 8 and a boat load of 2.450/1.900 valves for it.

Another bigger problem you may run into is port alignment. Every head from the BAE 6 on have a slightly raised intake runner. That's why you have to run the .25" spacer under the intake end rails.

Any time you run different heads you are really going to throw the nozzling off at a minimum and possibly cause some harmonics problems if one side of the motor is making significantly more power than the other.
