Sleeve Protrusion

    For blown alcohol (or nitro) how much sleeve protrusion above the block is typical these days, in the finished installed state? Using copper gaskets and hoops. Solid block, siamese bores, constant wall sleeves. Thx

    If memory serves correctly .003-.005, depending on how hard you lean it on they will pound down over time.

    Thanks Rob. I am designing a block right now and my guy wants to set them at about .0015. I tend to think that is too far in. I was thinking 3-5 like you say. Will ponder further. Thx.

    Funny how all of these little details bring out so many questions and opinions........
