Have a psi 14-71hh going on a 519 hemi and wondering what od that charger likes and doesnt like. Mostly run 660ft tracks and its in an outlaw alky funnycar. Lenco and pedal clutch if that matters and 4.56 ration with 36x17 slicks. Weighs roughly 2250. Heard mixed things about od some say no less than 50 and some say no more than 30 I just don't want it making hot air and not working like it should. Thanks for everything.

I ran mine at 42 over last week - not the best run as the track wasn't there. But my manifold temp was 138 4.2 into the run. From what people say that is right at the high end of where you want to be. It made 39 lbs of boost and it never went lower. (idle temps were pretty hot so it might be a bit cooler next time out)

I have the 20% shoes in it and asked about running 30% to see if that might change something ( and I have 40 and 50% as well). But nobody replied.
that's my experience so far lol

I have been told by a close friend that had a PSI that they worked better 40-50% than lower ODs

Mine has the 10.750 x 4.5 opening with delta on bottom. Setback rotors and was told anymore than 40% it wont be efficient.

Mike canter my issue would be iat or intake air temperature. Maybe I should trade this never used psi for a screw and be done with it. But ive never messed with a screw but like Andy told me the engine doesnt know whats on top of it just add some fuel and let er rip. He was telling me to spin it no more than 40% and to turn the engine over 8500 rpm which with my other engine it never sees over 8100. Run the entire 660 in low gear and it never goes over 8000-8200 max. I'm just stumped and dont want it just pumping hot air lol.

The od is dependent on crank rpm. If they're spinning 10k at 40% that's 14k blower speed. At 8100 70% od would be spinning the blower 13770 rpm. I think the hh likes around 12,500 before the air turns on you. Turn it up!!
