can anyone weld magnesium

    i have a lenco drive that has been timeserted and several pulled out
    can any one out there weld this up and redrill these holes
    front plate bolt holes in case over transbrake clutches

    a tapper insert has a larger outside diameter to the time sert / heli coil size. loctited / retaining compounded in these work great giving a larger grip diameter. I use these without any retaining just threaded in. in between the heli coil / time sert size ( which are the same thread) you could try a key sert, personally go straight to the tapper sert.
