Okay to wash pro mod with a drop of dawn dish soap in water?

Hi, My pro mod got put away when it was sprinkling and got some dirt and mud on it. A fine automotive swiffer type brush will not just brush it off. Is it okay to put a drop of dawn dish soap in some water and go over it with a soft rag or paper towel then wipe it with a dry one and then hit it with the Meguires spray?

Thanks Mike, I was doing the whole car by hand no spray and only doing the outside but I can switch the dawn out to either just water or see what I got from Meguires, I think it's like an instant shine or something, you spray it on and wipe it off. Just wanted to get the hard dirt off first. I tested this on a small spot earlier today and will see how it came out tomorrow when I work on it.

 

Worked out well, I just put one drop of dawn in a rectangular tupperwear container with water and dipped a paper towel in there, used that to get the dirt and dust off. Then went over it with the Meguire's instant shine.

What does everyone use on the wheels? I got a bottle of Mother's Aluminum wheel stuff but it wants you to hose it off afterwards and the stuff I remember you spray it on and wipe it off with a towel.

 

I was always taught to use actual car wash soap not dawn since it removes oil and waxes.
