I am new to the hemi and looking for a direction to go. It seems there are lots of blown BAE's available used for good prices.....I'm wondering how much would be involved switching it over to twin 88's for Outlaw 10.5.

Would a standard billet 54mm cam block be ok? Would the "5" head be ok for starters?

These questions may seem rediculous, but as I said, I'm new to the hemi (always ran BBF), and I'm on a budget.

Thanks in advance for any help.

50-60k, headers, piping, EFI, and turbos that is where most of your money will go. you can get a good motor but the pieces to follow are what get you

Headers and piping I build myself....I'll have to buy an intake. The rest of the stuff I already have. I'm converting a BBF over.
I was asking more about the heads and camshaft etc...also, will the 8 heads bolt to the block if I were to start with 5's?
    Thanks for the reply.

Not sure on the heads, but 54mm cam is fine, run a good lifter, but you can make great power with the 5's I know you can run up to 13.1 with a turbo deal will help spool better as well.
