m-4 blower inlet size

    I have M4 blower 1471 , @ 32 % overdrive , 11.7/8 inlet shoe , I have been told by various people , if I install smaller 10 7/8 inlet shoe that I will see a noticeable response on the boost coming up . I have running this set up Blown Alcohol Dragster , 44 psi boost @ 8800 RPM., any one has input on this .
