Slugfest brewing for Houston D4 Race.....

    It's looking like the Houston Divisional is going to be just plain raunchy. As if D4 wasn't tough enough with Force, Snow, Howard, Callaway, Thompson and others, word on the street is Olivirez in the ex-Lucas hot rod will claim D4, don't know if Capps/Hitchman are doing the D4 thing again this year, but they'll be in H-town, as well as Pomona finalists Steve Federlin and Hillary Will. If Federlin's coming, chances are the new O'Bannon/Grimes Lencodrive ride will be on the grounds as well. And thats just the left coast invaders. Randy Meyer usually starts his season there, I'd bet a lot of money Wells will be there, and we know Jeff Wilson will be there as well. Good air/Good track, could Reichert be there?? Tim Rudy ran very well here last year. Guy Kelly??

    Good place to find out if your hot rod will run with the best. So whats new, its this way every year at Houston with cars running in this div. from all over the country. Now a lot of them are coming to claim the div. It can't be because its easy. Must be the southern hospitality!! Two bad nobody advertises all these heavy hitters and gets spectators involved. It usually looks like someone sucked a vacum on the stands.

    Yeah Houston is a long way for us. I wish I could say we were going but it is not on our schedule and we do not plan to go. We do have some out of division races planned this year but Houston is not one of them.

    We plan on going to Woodburn twice this year...the Nat'l Open June 11 & 12 and then the divsional July 8-10. My website is under construction. I can let you know when it's viewable :)

    On the Lucas oil show yesterday Bob Fry said something about Manzo going to Houston.

    I think Bob Frey was referring to the national event in Houston, not the LODRS race.

    The nationals at Houston just might be the easier race to qualify for in TAD.
