What is everyone using for an manual off-head valvespring compressor? I saw a guy this past summer with an AJ head Hemi using what looked like a big c-clamp that had the top pad milled out to accept the valve stem head. Looked like it worked pretty good, does anyone know where to get one or have one to recommend?

What about on-head? Is anyone using the Buxton Eng. unit?

    Thanks
    Chris

yeah it actually is a big c-clamp... think it even has 'jorgensen' stamped in the side... not a real fancy piece of equipment but gets the job done real nice. i got mine from wizards. not sure who else sells them. i welded a nut on the end of the screw and zap it with a cordless impact

    wizard's # is 1-800-282-3442

    hope it helps... sean

Goodson tool makes a nice c clamp style with a handle crank similar to a wood clamp , I think the site is goodson.com , also wizard makes a decent cast iron c clamp that works pretty good also .
