Piston Position Relative to Crank Degrees & Rod Length

    In a previous post some one asked how rod length affected piston location in the bore and how various lengths would affect this.
    I found a Microsoft Excel program that can calculate this for you.

    There is also a old software program wirtten by Allen lockeed called (engine expert) I'ts a wave action simulation program for estimating intake and exhaust runner lengths and also calculates piston speeds etc based on rod lengths. It is still one of the best to date out there but you have to really be able to read between the lines and visualize what is going on iside of the IC engine. THats what makes it so good.
