I currently cracked my Rear End Housing in a few places also twisted it and cracked the floater stub off. Needless to say the housing is fubar.

My question is does anyone have any feed back on welded together rear ends Housing VS Modular Housing? Also is the Modular Housing stronger then the Welded Rears Housing? Any feed back on this subject or experiences would be Appreicated. Not sure whos kit rear end it was.

This is for a Srew Blown Pro Mod.

I've 50+ years of housing time, too much to type.
Currently only solid mount offerings in modular style, but I do understand what you need.
    Call if you wish.

Your case I would have a mw 11in in your car . You will never hurt it and I will last forever. Only draw back is weight. I have a gforce car with a roots and he told me that most fab housings last 2 years tops. But most of that depends on how hard you shake the tires. Dead hooking the tire will crack and good housing. Those billet 10 in mcamis rears are amazing but come with an amazing price tag as well

If your floater hub is broken off then it sounds like it was just butt welded on. That is not the right way to do that. Sounds like the rear housing you have was built poorly. There are ways to build a fab housing to handle extreme HP but mod housings are just easier. Bolt them in and go.

Give Frank Parks a call. He has built a bunch of them.
